But let me tell you what - this whole parenting nonsense, it's no joke.
It's only now, 3.5 months later do I feel like the fog is lifting and SP and I are starting starting to get into a groove. Don't get me wrong, I love it. I love every exhausting minute. But when I say I'm tired, I mean it. And I pretty much mean it all the time. Working full time and taking care of a baby and a house and a spouse - it's just really a lot a lot.
That being said, we're doing great! Baby Girl (BG) is growing like a bean sprout and has started doing the most amazing things - smiling, shrieking, rolling.
When she was about 6 wks old we flew down to So-cal so BG could meet my Daddy (Gran-boo) and a lot of our Southern CA friends!
BG and Gran-Boo! BG wasn't a huge fan of meeting Mr. Gnomie...
BG on the "Nana" Blanket. My mom's friends trade it around when a grandchild is born! She was the 2nd Nana of the group :) |
3 Generations. No eyes. On the Nana Blanket |
Baby's first beach trip! |
The Fam! Just missing my bro :( |
Other than that we've mostly just been trying to figure out how to work 8hrs a day on little sleep... And how to fit in as many squishy baby moments as possible.
June will be nuts (Birthday parties, friends visiting, flying across the country with a 4 mo old...oh yeah...) but I'll do my best to get back into the blogging groove - because I miss you people. And, believe it or not, there are still a few thoughts rattling around in my crazy head.
Kisses!
Mama Sarah
P.S. A million points if you can name the movie the title is from :)
My big fat greek wedding. Duh. This is why are friends. Kiss the bean for me.
ReplyDeleteI missed your posts, glad you're back! BG is super cute and I love the gnome picture…haha.
ReplyDeleteMy Big Fat Greek Wedding is like in the top 5 of my all time fav movies!!! BG is SO CUTE!!! That gnome picture is hilarious. Little tip: trade off "sleep in" days with the wifey. Seriously. You sleep on on Saturday and let her sleep in on Sunday. I swear that one day of sleeping in does wonders for your body rejuvenating. The lack of sleep is hands down the worst part of parenting.
ReplyDeletePS-Please do not be one of those bloggers that drops off the face of the earth when baby comes along. Trust me, you will want this community when TTC #2 and it is a great archive of BG's infancy and childhood. No one scrapbooks anymore, blog baby books is where it is at ;)
Yay, an update! I'm so glad that you're getting into the parenting groove. It's funny how that just happens. BG is just adorable and getting so big! Your family picture is a must frame because you all are just beaming with happy. Now go write some more posts with lots of pictures. :)
