Answered Prayers and Twisting Paths

Today I'm going to give you a gift.  My heart cracked wide open.

Just about 12 weeks ago today we found out that my beautiful, kind, loving, amazing wife is PREGNANT!

I'm not going to lie to you, I've been feeling some serious guilt sharing our super happy news when many people I know are going through some seriously rough times lately.  But then I remember the months and months of crying over negative pregnancy tests and I remember that I trained for this, that I dreamt for this, and hoped for this and have worked for this and walked down every twisty pathway for this.

I have a lot of catching up to do (I've been keeping only a billion journals waiting for this announcement day) and a lot of things to say about mama-hood, and non-gestational parenthood, and love and life.

But for now just this:

Every bit of love from my cracked heart,
Sarah

  3. I know I've already told you this but OMG, OMG, OMG! When I saw your Instagram announcement I was about to fall asleep and shouted out in happiness and I'm pretty sure I gave G a few new grey hairs, lol. You two have worked, prayed and done everything else under the sun to bring this baby into your lives and that's something to celebrate!! So you take that guilt and let it go because it's not needed. This is a happy time and I think I can speak for everyone when I say how HAPPY we are for you and your wifey.

I am curious though (and it's ok if you don't wish to share) but how many IUI's did it end up taking to get this bundle of joy? Inquiring TTC-ers want to know. ;)

    1. Thanks, the response has been so phenomenal that the guilt is leaving the picture! Tell G sorry about the new greys! And thanks for your crazy enthusiasm :) Love it!

I'll do a full TTC update but we did 6 IUI's with me and only 2 with my wife (oy!) much much more coming!
